A traditional tent peg design in high strength 6mm thick titanium. A heavyweight alternative to the practically indestructible Titan at a bargain ("reduced to clear") price. These provide deep penetration across a broad range of ground; excelling on mixed, hard and rocky terrain. A budget Titan for those that can handle the 6g premium.

Someone forgot to inform the factory's sales team that their product spec had changed, leaving Scramble with some overweight Titan wannabes. Rather then ship them back and incur a lot of costs and hassles, they decided to sell them here heavily discounted for those that like the look of the Titan but are less keen on its price tag.
The Heavy Duty Hook Peg is very similar to the Titan but its 6mm diameter makes it 1mm thicker. This translates to a weight gain of around 6g (+/- 0.5g) with the HD Hook Peg weighing in at ~25g (per peg). So, if you can handle the 6g weight premium, you can save big with this monster peg.
Titanium is half the weight of steel (so in terms of strength, this will function close to a 50g steel peg!) so it's the ideal material when you need a practically indestructible tent peg that can take a hammering on very hard, frozen, sun-baked or rocky ground.
A couple of these will often suffice to secure your critical attachment points in the most challenging of conditions. These pegs won't perform well on sand, deep snow or super-saturated marshland (for the latter Scramble recommend the Tornado peg), but like the Titan, it will penetrate deep into mixed, hard and rocky ground, providing a very reliable anchor in high winds and on non-ideal pitches.
As with all the tent pegs on SYSTEM, you can buy just one or as many as you like.
