Mountain Equipment say this about the Dark Days Hoodie:
"An essential for the dark days of winter, this amazingly warm hoody is perfect for painfully early starts and elated, exhausted evenings. On long range trips in search of legendary Canadian ice or fresh French powder this is one layer that will always make the cut."
As Mountain Equipment quite honestly hint at in their copy, this is not so much a piece for climbing or trekking in - it's too warm and too heavy for winter trekking in Scramble's opinion. But for staying warm in winter, whether travelling or hanging around in the freezing cold this and some of Bergans' offerings are the best heavy duty fleeces money can buy.
When Mountain Equipment get it right, they're hard to beat. Their products can be a little pricey, but the quality is generally outstanding and the Dark Days Hooded Jacket is no exception. Want to keep warm this winter? Get one.
Mountain Equipment's sizing is spot on - so no need to size up or down due to the manufacturer.
