Customer Notice 1 : International Shipping Update

SYSTEM now ship to Japan and South Korea.  In terms of the US, we're monitoring the tariff situation, but in the main have absorbed most of the associated fees. For more information please check our shipping rates page.

We've completely suspended shipping to the EU, here's why:

Below is a recent example of the unlawful taxes imposed on UK shipments into the EU (it doesn't work like this the other way round, where the UK is applying the correct charges).  We've rounded the values (Euro), but have shown the actual charged rates (%).

• Order Value  = 198 (Euro)
• VAT = 51 (Euro) @ 26% (not 20%)
• Duty = 24 (Euro) @ 12% (should just be 20% VAT for retail purchases)
• Courier Fee = 7 (Euro)

So total taxes = 38% (not 20%)
Total charges on an order of 198 (Euro, including shipping) = 82 (Euro), an addition of 41% on top of the goods + delivery already paid by the customer.  No wonder customers are returning UK orders into the EU.

We wish our friends in the EU well, but until they get rid of their leadership class in Brussels (unfortunately the power lies with the EU Commission which, unlike the parliament, is not democratically accountable to the EU public), we won't be able to ship our goods into what is essentially a continental market run like a banana republic.
