ITW Nexus + 2M Cord Locks (max diameter 5mm)

Lightweight, High Quality Cord Locks for Dual or Single Cord Applications

Made from either Acetal or Nylon, these durable and reliable yet lightweight cord locks will cover the bulk of ones cord fastening requirements for ultralight trekking.  The following cord locks are compatible with the full range of cords sold on SYSTEM and Scramble have made them available on a unit basis at the kind of price you'd likely pay when bought in packs of 10 (as most people know exactly how many or few they actually need and that is not necessarily 10).  

IT4 : ITW Nexus Springlock Double (2.0g, for cord < 5mm diameter)

These offer far better grip than regular cord locks and work especially well with top opening, lightweight packs like Edelrid's 30L Lite Bag. Many pack manufacturers use these for their shock cord ice axe and crampon fixings as they are easy to use with gloves in sub zero temperatures.  An excellent cord lock for Edelrid's 2.5mm Multicord and Marlow Ropes' shockcords.

IT5 : ITW Nexus Ellipse (2.4g, for cord < 6mm diameter*)

A traditional single-hole cord lock designed with an elliptical opening to allow two cord strands to sit side by side. These will accommodate two strands of Marlow Rope's excellent 3mm shockcord, English Braid's 2mm Dyneema Cord and Edelrid's 2.5mm Multicord or a single strand of Marlow's heavy duty 4mm Dyneema shockcord.

A great, ultralight, dual opening cord lock for cords under 3mm in diameter. These works extremely well with Marlow Ropes and English Braids Dyneema cords and Edelrid's 2.5mm Multicord
