PSP Marine's Spinnaker Repair Tape is a self adhesive tape made from ripstop nylon. Although its primary role is fixing sails, the terra firma portion of the outdoor community were quick to realise its almost endless applications for fixing tarps, tents, bivvies, sleeping bags, waterproofs, insulated jackets and on and on. Many expensive down jackets have been saved courtesy of PSP's Spinnaker Tape.
When used in conjunction with a good seam-sealing glue, no stitching is required. One can simply stick the Spinnaker repair tape over the ripped fabric and then seal the patch in place with seam sealer. Once cured, a good seam sealer will maintains its flex and provide a durable repair.
Scramble use this tape extensively and are well aware that for a specific repair you often want a specific colour but don't need anywhere near the 4.5m you get on the smallest rolls. So they decided to offer it on SYSTEM in strips of 50cm. If you want a longer strip just increase the quantity (for example a quantity of 3 will get your a single strip of 150cm). The tape is packed flat and comes folded at 25cm intervals (this has no effect on the tapes performance or application).
The current RRP seems to have jumped recently and many retailers sell a 4.5m roll for £10.00+ . So at £1.25 per 50cm Scramble are pretty close to the current RRP roll price.
