These insanely lightweight dry bags are ideal for packing all the stuff you cannot afford to get wet without adding any significant weight to your pack. Even if you use a pack-liner (as Scramble do) these bags will make sure, in stormy or persistently wet conditions, your important gear remains bone dry. On multi-day / multi-week ventures it's often during packing / unpacking that your gear is most likely to get wet. The Sea To Summit Nano Dry Sacks offer the perfect ultralight protection.
Using a 15D Sil/PU nylon fabric they call Ultra-Sil® Nano, a lightweight side release buckle and a thinner roll top closure Sea To Summit have created a dry sack that is 30% lighter than their 30D Ultra-Sil® Dry Sacks. Highly recommended when you need to shave off the grams.
These dry bags make excellent compression stuff sacks for large sleeping bags like Carinthia's Defence 4. The sleeping bag can be stuffed in foot-end first, then sat on to push out all the air. The seal of this dry bag is water and air tight and this allows the bag to be "vacuum packed", meaning it takes up much less space and takes a malleable form making it easier to shape to the contours of your backpack. With the Defence 4 for example (which has a heavy duty stuff sack), this approach saves your back about 200g and reduces pack size.
